Barking dogs annoy neighbors. But something about letting dogs go outside makes them want to bark at anything that passes by. My boyfriend’s dogs are very good about not barking inside the house. For the most part, they are good about keeping quiet outside in the yard as well. But if somebody walks by the house, or the next door neighbor lets out her dogs, the barking starts. And we have to bring the dogs inside and scold them for barking.
Now wait a minute. Dogs communicate by barking. Barking is their form of speech. People are stifling dogs from expressing themselves. How do YOU feel when you have something to say, but know that you can’t say it?
Let a dog bark a little. And LISTEN to your fellow man once in awhile.
